Mass Save® HEAT Loan
Energy efficiency is a home investment that pays off now, and for years to come, through lower energy use. The Sponsors of Mass Save are here to help make your home energy projects more affordable.
Financing is available for a variety of energy-efficient upgrades—including insulation, heat pump installations, batteries, and more.
To get started, call Mass Save at 866-527-7283 to schedule a Home Energy Assessment. A Mass Save representative will review the results of the assessment, let you know which improvements would be eligible for HEAT Loan financing, and give you all the paperwork you need.

Cape Light Compact is making it easy for Cape Cod and Martha’s Vineyard residents to switch to an efficient heating and cooling system with enhanced incentives for qualifying residents.
The Enhanced Residential program offers are only open to customers making between 60 and 80% of the state median income: check out our Income Guidelines to see if you qualify. Customers making above 80% are eligible for the standard offers found here.

Residents who qualify for the Compact’s Enhanced Residential program are eligible for 80% of the installed cost of heat pump systems.
Weatherization recommendations made during a Home Energy Assessment must be completed prior to installation to qualify.

How to Apply for Enhanced Rebates
Step 1
Verify eligibility. Confirm that your household income meets the eligibility requirements before applying for rebates. Please call 1-800-797-6699 to get verified.
Step 2
Prepare your home. A Home Energy Assessment is required to participate in this program. Call 1-800-797-6699 or sign up online now.
Step 3
Weatherize your home. All weatherization updates recommended for your home during the Home Energy Assessment must be completed prior to applying for the enhanced rebate. All weatherization work is available at no cost for income-verified customers.
Step 4
Work with a contractor. Heating and cooling equipment must be installed by a licensed contractor. Schedule and complete installation of eligible equipment between July 1, 2023 and December 31, 2023. If you are considering a heat pump, installations must be completed by a Mass Save Heat Pump Installer: MassSave.com/FindAHeatPumpInstaller.
Step 5
Consider financing: Interested in 0% financing? Apply for a Mass Save HEAT Loan prior to installing your equipment. Learn more at MassSave.com/HeatLoan.
Step 6
Claim your rebate. After your home is weatherized and your equipment is installed, your Home Energy Specialist will provide access to the enhanced incentive form. Submit the completed form and supporting documents to receive your rebate. Please note that you must verify your income, complete a Home Energy Assessment, and complete all recommended weatherization updates to be eligible for enhanced residential rebates.
Eligibility

- Equipment must be purchased and installed between January 1, 2023, and December 31, 2023
- Equipment must be installed by a licensed contractor
- Equipment must be new and installed to either supplement or replace oil, propane, or electric baseboard (resistance) as the primary heating system-
- Weatherization recommendations made during a Home Energy Assessment must be completed and signed.
- Equipment installed in individual units in residential 5+ unit complexes, including 1-4 unit buildings that are part of larger complexes, are not eligible for whole-home rebates but may receive the partial-home rebate amounts
- The rebate form and supporting documentation must be received within 60 days of installation
